ARTIST STEPS IN THE PAINT

A splash of paint on a floor covering sparked an idea

"Artist Steps In The Paint" has been painted on a used roller blind originally intended as a floor covering only.

This humble floor covering became more and more interesting however as multiple layers of paint began to cover its surface. The squares seen in the center is from diluted paint that has flowed over the edges of canvases placed on top of the surface. Splashes of paint in multiple colours are dotted all across the painting and there are even shoe prints from the artist walking back and fourth. Hence the title.
